Herlinda González, a Maderista, is pictured with several armed women and girls. The picture is accompanied by the following: “Orozco and Villa equipped these señoritas, knowing that they would help the anti-reelectionist party in the Revolution. They hid arms and distributed the Plan de San Luis Potosí. Herlinda, the oldest, directed her sisters; Rebeca, the youngest, was seven years old. María, my sister, had a master’s degree and directed the San Diego School, Chihuahua, June of 1911.”
